The brief:
The brief required a PSA TV advert for a NPO, complete with script, cinematography and editing. Trulife is a non-profit organization that aims to inspire and uplift the youth to work through their pain to reach their full potential. They are a team of young adults based in Durban who have created life orientation workshops and road shows that explore topics such as identity, sex and justice in entertaining and relevant ways.
The concept:
The concept behind the script was to “see through the pain to the potential” and the words acknowledge the struggles of the youth but beckon them in a subtle way to see through it to their very bright futures ripe with possibility.
